Terms of use
Last updated: October 8, 2026
By using Tinker (the website, the web app or the terminal app) you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable.
The service
- Tinker is free and provided "as is", without warranties. It may change, slow down, hit limits or stop at any time.
- Free usage has limits per minute and per person. Limits can change to keep the service running for everyone.
AI answers can be wrong
- Tinker's answers come from AI models and can be incorrect, outdated or insecure. Check important information and review code before you use it.
- In the terminal, Tinker changes files and runs commands only after you approve each one. You are responsible for what you approve. Keep backups and use version control.
Acceptable use
Don't use Tinker to break the law, harm others, create malware, harass people, get around rate limits, or overload the service. Access that breaks these rules may be blocked.
Your content
- You own what you write and what you create with Tinker.
- Your messages are processed by the services listed on the Privacy page, under their own terms.
- You can delete your account and saved chats at any time in Settings.
Open source
Tinker's code is published on GitHub under the MIT license.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Tinker means you accept the updated terms.
